Student Degree Audit

After surveying the issues within the current BGSU degree audit system (a degree audit is the online portal that records the credits taken, in progress, and still needed for each student in order to graduate) it was telling this system was not contributing to students success. The current system has poor navigation, hierarchy, iconography, inefficient linking, and so on. It was obvious this needed a drastic usability change.

This is the new and improved function of the student degree audit portal. This takes on a clean, intuitive to navigate design with all the needs a student could have when completing graduate requirements.
This course catalog breaks down courses by name, abbreviation, or even has a search feature for students unsure of what they are wanting to take.
It was amazing to find out how many students had no idea what a degree audit was. Some had stumbled upon it and still said it looked foreign to them. This is a section to education students on the purpose, answer FAQs, and give a place to contact if needed.
Programs are typically very large when counting the number of students in them. You may or may not meet many people inside your personal program. Although what if you could find classes taken by people who are similar in learning styles, interests, in the same major as you, and so on, just by taking a simple questionnaire and seeing the results.
No two students are the same. There are many cultures, languages, ages, on a campus. Therefore this gives the ability for high contrast color change or font size increase for those that may have trouble reading easily. Also a translation feature for those where English is not their first language.
